The clients of this London Roof Terrace contacted Aralia desiring a contemporary design for their London roof terrace, in order to bring it in line with the high standard of finishing demonstrated within the interior. The clients wanted their London roof terrace to exude a high-end, luxury penthouse feel whilst still maintaining a sense of warmth and comfort. Aralia’s roof terrace design sought to encompass the stunning skyline views of the city, whilst also providing a comfortable and ambient space. The roof terrace was sub-divided into smaller, more intimate areas, whilst also creating a sense of flow and journey within the terrace.  The roof terrace design still allowed flexibility for the space to be opened up, for when the clients were entertaining a larger number of guests.

To create comfort in the space, Aralia incorporated bespoke furniture for lounging and alfresco dining, ensuring that the materials used were in keeping with the interior furnishings and the aesthetic scheme as a whole. Aralia Landscape Architects also designed an outdoor space for the master bedroom balcony, softening the views of the brick buildings with luscious planting and creating a more intimate area that acts as an extension of the bedroom. Aralia’s roof terrace design enhances both the views of the terrace as well as the views onto the wider city skyline, creating a visually striking, comfortable and contemporary roof terrace space.
