La Yuca Garden

Located in Náquera, this naturalistic Mediterranean garden not only hosts over 200 plant species but is also set within a carefully designed architectural environment: a space that blends Mediterranean aesthetics with organic forms and a neutral color palette that evokes calm, light, and naturalness.

Conceived by landscape designer Javier Coves as a living laboratory, this garden allows for the observation of native species or adapted to the Mediterranean climate. Every corner is designed to test plant combinations, growth dynamics, and sustainable strategies applicable to larger-scale projects.

Architecture supports this process: soft structures, curves integrated into the landscape, natural materials, and earthy tones create an atmosphere aligned with the philosophy of the place – a space that seeks to be not only functional but also inspiring.

Here, research focuses on climate adaptability, efficient water management, the use of native flora, and low-maintenance systems – all within a framework that unites design, sustainability, and timeless beauty.
