The presence of the courtyard in Roha plays a fundamentally important role in establishing privacy, as well as creating a greater sense of openness to the relatively constrained site.

Functional planning of the home is driven by the central courtyard. The curved surfaces within Roha provide an important sense of relief to the otherwise rigid geometry of the dwelling. Softening of the architecture is further achieved through the use of warm, natural finishes.
