Morskoy Garden
The site is located near the sea, with a white facade resembling a cruise liner, while the garden of grasses mimics the waves it cuts through. Everything harmonizes with the marine theme. Most of the plants are grasses of different heights and colors, swaying to create a single wave.
The garden’s style is Mediterranean, so they used a variety of ornamental grasses and aromatic plants such as mint, sage, lavender, thyme, Perovskia and Buddleja.
The planting palette includes:
- 12 species of trees
- 10 species of ornamental grasses
- 21 species of shrubs
- 28 species of flowering and bulbous plants
- 8 species of ground covers and vines
- 7 types of conifers
The garden is rich in color due to the diverse foliage of carefully selected trees and shrubs. Moreover, it remains vibrant year-round, thanks to an abundance of balmy evergreens: pines, junipers, cedar, and cypress.
