As a unique entertainer’s home, Azura is born from a foundation of contrasts. With its street frontage giving little away, the concealed timber form is softly wrapped in fins that direct views away, yet the subtle inward motioning of the lower level indicates the main entry.

Once inside, a cylindrical staircase marks the centre of the home and is a sculptural moment in itself, while in the distance views of the canal and the series of entertaining and lifestyle offerings slowly reveal themselves.

Generous in size and openness, the home exudes a sense of luxury and a want to live openly and to embrace the canal that the home aligns with. Sitting under the main home is a sunken garage that allows for an extensive collection of luxury cars to be kept under safeguard and away from view. Accompanying entertaining spaces then sit alongside the collection, with a darker and moodier tonality and palette than the levels above, as an escape. The overall lightness and integration of the landscape into the building edges offers a softening of the masonry and timber form, while being a connective element between inside and out.
