An intriguing project that, over four years of construction, underwent multiple complete management and design team changes. By the time it reached Bee Landscaping Bureau, the war had already begun, which meant that many decisions regarding landscaping and construction were made not only with aesthetics in mind but also with a focus on crisis resilience.

As a result, the zoning of the area was entirely reimagined: a vast space for strolling and reading was introduced, the children’s playground was redesigned; and the total green space was nearly doubled.

In total, the green zones cover 1,326 m2, which is why, during the summer of 2022, they decided to focus on a low-maintenance garden rich in fragrant herbs, ornamental grasses, flowering plants, and bulbs. The planting palette includes:

• 19 species of ornamental grasses
• 23 species of shrubs
• 41 species of flowering and bulbous plants
• 10 species of ground covers and vines
• 5 types of conifers

All these plants create stunning seasonal compositions, transforming throughout the year with changes in color, texture, and bloom cycles.

The backbone of the garden consists of cypresses, which release a significant amount of beneficial phytoncides. This not only provided a green screen for privacy but also created a healthy and cozy environment for residents.

When clearing the site, the previous team wisely preserved tree stumps and logs, which they incorporated into the design, entwining them with ivy to create natural installations and scenic elements.

A true gem of the area is the children’s playground made from eco-friendly materials. They fought hard to ensure the paving wouldn’t be rubberized, advocating for European landscaping practices that encourage children to explore the world naturally. While they couldn’t fully eliminate synthetic materials, 50% of the playground surface is permeable, balancing safety with an organic play environment.
