This garden presented a major challenge with its steeply sloped site, and way out of control garden & planting. The clients had wanted to overhaul the garden for some time, and Aralia were commissioned to create a contemporary garden design that created a lovely series of garden spaces, that would entice the clients out into the garden during the day and evening.
A beautiful stone terrace was designed directly off the lounge, accessed via the sliding glass doors, allowing a real indoor-outdoor feeling to this garden area and creating almost an extension to the lounge interior. The clients wanted to use this area for dining and lounging so Aralia added elements including a charcoal BBQ, freestanding and integrated seating, and a contemporary pergola, all of which would shape this area into the perfect relaxation and entertaining space. A contemporary water feature with 3 individual stainless steel water chutes was designed to provide both sound and movement, and a lovely night time view thanks to a contemporary garden lighting scheme designed also by Aralia. Natural stone steps with architectural metal balustrade lead up to the upper garden & beyond.
Aralia worked as Landscape Architects working within a multi-disciplinary consultant team and a range of sub-contractors. Aralia were responsible for concept creation through to design detail and full construction of the build
