The clients of this new build contemporary home approached Aralia Landscape Architects design a landscape that would enhance their new contemporary timber, stone and glass structure house. The striking architecture of the property created a real contrast with the surrounding rural landscape, Aralia embraced this and used their landscape design to celebrate the differences, contrasting them in a complimentary manner. Aralia Landscape Architects designed a series of clean and contemporary terraces around the house, introducing more naturalistic and free flowing design to the areas furthest from the new build house. Each garden terrace retained a unique feel; some geared towards entertaining, whilst others were designed as more intimate and relaxing private lounge areas. Aralia Landscape Architects introduced a bold contemporary water feature, across the series of terraces to ensure that the terraces worked together cohesively, as well as individually. The wider landscape would be dedicated to a meadow like design in keeping with the rural setting; furthering the great contrast between the contemporary spaces and architecture, and the more traditional rural landscape surroundings. Each area works as a response to the interior and architecture of the new house, transforming the property into an amazing family home.
