This client was undergoing extensive restoration works on their London townhouse when they approached Aralia Landscape Architects, to create a landscape design that would transform their garden into an extension of their interior living space. Aralia designed a series of gardens and terraces that would exude a clean and minimalistic feel, reflecting the beautiful internal décor and creating a seamless link between indoor and outdoor space. Two light wells, which were accessible from the bedrooms, would become small private pocket gardens ideal for relaxation, including luxurious lounge style seating and a living green wall that would provide a beautiful backdrop. These areas would feel intimate, yet open, thanks to the use of an elegant and simple palette of materials that reflect the stylish internal decor. The design for the main London garden focused on providing a stunning terrace for the family to entertain and enjoy. The bespoke dining and lounge furniture makes this terrace an ideal entertaining space, with the incorporation of a bespoke water feature distracting from the urban noises and providing the clients and guests with a true sense of tranquillity. Aralia Landscape Architects produced a clean and elegant design for these contemporary outdoor spaces, injected with luxurious elements and maximizing on available space.
