Patricia Fox, founder of Aralia Landscape Design, was particularly inspired by this coastal project due to her own great passion for sailing and the beautiful waterfront property this garden belonged to. The owners of this coastal garden desired a contemporary coastal garden to dovetail with the seascape and Hampshire River setting that surrounded their home. The Aralia landscape design team took great inspiration from the coastal setting of this property, and created a stylish planting plan based on pale pinks, blues, purples and white blooms, in order to echo the colours of an evening sunset over the sea. Other coastal elements came in the form of a glass balustrade, beach pebbles and large boulders and the natural hardwood silver decking, which reflected a marine setting, as well as dry stone walling which would blend effortlessly with the coastal context. This contemporary garden space is harmonious with its coastal setting, yet still remains injected with the innovative and modern finish that Aralia is known for.
Aralia provided a full landscape design package for this project, taking the project from concept through to a full set of working drawings for the whole coastal garden. The project was then built by local landscape contractors.
