Our clients had just bought a fantastic plot of land and were in the process of building a stunning contemporary home when they commissioned Aralia to completely redesign their country estate – that was currently set in a field!  Aralia Landscape Architects designed a combination of contemporary and classical elegant spaces for the stunning new build property, taking inspiration from the buildings simple palette of natural stones, glass and Iroko timber cladding. Aralia Landscape Architects created a real wow factor for the entrance with a curved driveway lined with a dense woodland of Silver Birch trees – this would provide a real sense of journey and arrival into the home.

A main terrace was designed as the perfect relaxation space for the clients, featuring a sumptuous lounge area filled with bespoke contemporary garden furniture, and a reflective water feature that spans the entire terrace. A secondary terrace provided an outdoor entertaining space, with outdoor kitchen & BBQ, luxury outdoor dining area and a contemporary overhead structure to cater for all social occasions. A natural stone fireplace was also designed, complementing the stone of the new house, ensuring a consistent and contemporary palette across the scheme.  The series of terraces would provide a seamless link between indoor and outdoor living, enhancing the property’s key views and working in symmetry with the clean, elegant and contemporary architecture design.

Aralia are working as Landscape Architects working within a multi-disciplinary consultant team which includes Architects, Structural Engineers, Cost Consultants a range of sub-contractors. Aralia were responsible for concept creation through to design detail.
