The project is located in Voula, a coastal suburb of Athens, and concerns the design of a new residential building composed of private maisonettes.

The design responds both to the developer’s request for independent residences and to the character of the area, introducing a contemporary structure with a clear architectural identity.

Drawing inspiration from the project’s street name referencing the Greek myth of Icarus, the façade design explores the idea of flight and movement. The irregular triangular balconies create a dynamic composition, recalling the motion of wings in an otherwise static form. This expressive geometry defines the frontal elevation, offering each residence generous outdoor space while shaping a distinctive architectural gesture toward the street.

The building balances its bold façade with clean volumes, neutral tones, and vertical steel elements that provide rhythm and texture. Glass balustrades and extended terraces enhance transparency and lightness, while landscaped surroundings and private pools at ground level add to the residents’ sense of privacy and comfort.

The result is a residential complex that combines functionality with symbolic expression — a series of maisonettes conceived as contemporary homes in Voula, where architectural form becomes a statement of movement, identity, and urban presence.
