This Georgian Listed property (Circa 1803) is comprised of a main house, side wing, new kitchen extension and a separate pool house. The clients commissioned Aralia to prepare a Masterplan for the site, primarily due to the purchase of several acres, taking the existing garden from a rather small site into a much larger country estate garden of 20 acres. The remit was to design a harmonious garden to complement the beautiful Grade 2 Listed Property and blend it seamlessly into the wider landscape.
Careful consideration was given to the journey and flow around the house and garden, to ensure beautiful views both out of the house and in and around the garden. A contemporary garden style has been employed up close to the house with a more classic style further away from the house. The country estate gardens are planned to be initially planted up with young plant stock, that will mature over time, to keep initial installation costs to a reasonable level.
Aralia Landscape Architects are working primarily on the Landscape design, the Master Plan and detailed plans with the client. The gardens are to be installed in due course.
