Narrow pathways and dense shrubbery

The approach to the corporate workspace is framed by a series of winding, narrow pathways bordered by dense, layered shrub planting. This design intention creates a sense of transition from the exterior environment into a more contemplative and introspective space. The intentional constriction of the pathways stimulates curiosity, guiding visitors and employees through a carefully orchestrated entry experience. The density of the plantings not only provides visual enclosure but also creates a buffer from the surrounding urban context, promoting a sense of privacy and tranquility.

Pedestrian bridge

As the pathway progresses, it leads to a pedestrian bridge spanning a small pond, which serves as both a functional and symbolic threshold. The bridge becomes a focal element of the entrance, offering a moment of pause and reflection as individuals cross over the pond, symbolizing the transition from the outside world to the workplace. The pond, with its placid surface, fosters a sense of calm, while the subtle sound of flowing water provides a sensory cue that signifies the entry into a positive, restorative environment.

landscape as a sequence of pause points

Throughout the site, carefully designed pause points are integrated to provide a varied sensory experience and facilitate moments of respite. These micro-environments are dispersed across the landscape, offering secluded seating areas, quiet contemplative spaces, or communal gathering points. Each space features distinct plantings, water features, and sculptural elements that offer employees opportunities to disconnect from work tasks and engage with the surrounding landscape.

Sculptural element in courtyard

A bold iron sculpture serves as a striking architectural element within the entrance courtyard, establishing a visual landmark that reinforces the identity of the space. The materiality of the sculpture contrasts with the natural surroundings, emphasizing the fusion of art and nature as a cornerstone of the design narrative. This piece becomes an iconic element, engaging both senses and mind.

Indoor-outdoor connectivity and visual axis

A carefully considered landscape axis connects the internal workspaces with the external environment. This alignment ensures that views of the landscape, particularly the pond and surrounding plantings, are accessible from key areas within the building. The integration of large-scale glazing along this axis provides uninterrupted views, enhancing the workplace environment with an influx of natural light and visual continuity with the outdoors. These design decisions create a seamless transition between interior and exterior, promoting well-being and enhancing spatial fluidity.
