Design style
There are homeowners who like clarity in design, but there are also homeowners who like boldness in color to affirm their own aesthetic taste and personality. The topic this time Decox Design received was to design a strong, personal living space using a neutral color palette, especially the main dark color, but still ensuring comfort in living and trendyness in accordance with current trends. Each style has its own beauty and modern style is the destination that Decox chose to conquer the interior space in this townhouse project.
Living room
The interior space of the townhouse’s living room is like a harmony between the art of color, materials and light. The smooth transition from light, dark, and light tones creates a visual effect, giving the feeling of a space rich in depth and character. The materials and colors used seem to be “messy” in a random but purposeful way. For example, the “hot” red tone has a striking contrasting color on the main dark background or the hardness and coldness of stone and metal surfaces have been balanced through the addition of wood and fabric into the space. Besides, the art of light distribution is also a bright spot in interior design. Sufficient moderation will help the space have the necessary brightness, while also highlighting decorative details such as natural rough stone walls, bookshelves or dropped ceilings.
Kitchen
The kitchen is in harmony with the whole house through familiar colors and materials. These are the unique gray – black color, pure white color, rustic wood color and warm yellow color coming from the lighting effect. Open kitchen space design brings convenience and comfort in moving and cooking. Here, the architect used a U-shaped kitchen cabinet system combined with the upper and lower kitchen cabinets at the same time. This will be a solution to increase usable space and storage space while also acting as a “shield wall” to increase privacy for the kitchen staff.
Working room
The working space requires high concentration, privacy and quiet. Therefore, delicate white is the reasonable choice in this case. Besides, lighting is also an indispensable element in the office space. In addition to making optimal use of the natural light source through the large glass window, the ceiling light located right at the desk area will be the main light source providing brightness for the user. The interior arrangement in this space is also maximally streamlined to provide a comfortable experience. Just a set of desks of suitable size, luxurious design and outstanding wooden paneled decorative cabinets is enough to enhance the beauty of the space.
Bedroom 1
Bedroom interior design is aimed at a modern, minimalist space, focusing on the main function of the room and promoting the spiritual value of the user. Moderating the furniture and arranging it just enough is the key to keeping the room always spacious and airy. Although using a dark color palette in harmony with the overall style, the space still evokes a comfortable feeling with just enough brightness for rest and relaxation. This comes from a properly distributed lighting system that resonates with natural light sources and light-colored interiors.
Bedroom 2
Still applying modern design, the interior layout is a bit minimalist in Japanese style, but the main highlight of the room lies in the color combination. Although only two basic colors are used, white and black, with a “moderate” combination ratio, the main elements in the room are highlighted very naturally without the need for any other colors or decorative details.
WC
Possessing a quite spacious area, the architect has proactively divided the space to ensure privacy and specialization for functional areas. The most impressive of which is the luxurious bathtub area arranged next to the ceiling window, so that the homeowner can easily see the garden landscape in the front yard.
