While the archaeological site is left silent to stimulate people’s imagination, the productive fields constitute an active and continuous performance: rice planting, weeding, and harvesting are all part of the project, blending with recreational activities such as jogging, picnics, dog walks, school and family outings. As a viewing platform and immersive path, the glass bridge allows urban visitors to witness the rice planting and harvesting activities and connect with the tireless farmers. Visitors can help the farmers and participate in the agricultural work. In this landscape, the boundaries between work and performance, production and art, rural and urban, owners and visitors, functionality and aesthetics dissolve into an integrated scene of beauty and harmony.
