一木千林是常浩工作室在上海设计的一座可移动花园亭。两面弧形镜面不锈钢墙围绕一株树木，通过反复映射，让一棵树在约10平方米的围合中呈现为绵延的树林。项目受小红书设计周委托，首展于2026年上海国际花卉节新天地展区，此后作为一座流动的园林在城市不同场地巡回展出，中心的树木也随场地与季节更换。

Infinite Grove is a travelling garden pavilion designed by Chang Hao Studio in Shanghai. Two curved walls of mirror-polished stainless steel surround a single tree and reflect it again and again, so that one tree appears as a continuous grove within an enclosure of about 10 square metres. Commissioned by rednote Design Week, the pavilion debuted in the Xintiandi exhibition area of the 2026 Shanghai International Flower Festival and has since toured different sites across the city as a mobile garden, with its central tree changing according to site and season.

Background
2026年上海国际花卉节于4月18日至5月10日举行，一木千林与众多主题花园一同落在黄浦区新天地主会场的草坪上。城市中心留给每件作品的场地往往只有小小一块，设计的出发点也由此而来：用一棵树，在城市中心种下一片林。
The 2026 Shanghai International Flower Festival ran from 18 April to 10 May, and Infinite Grove stood on a lawn in the Xintiandi main venue in Huangpu District alongside many themed gardens. In the city centre, each work is usually given only a small plot, and this condition shaped the starting point of the design: to plant a forest in the middle of the city with a single tree.

框景与借景
Framed Views and Borrowed Scenery
中国古典园林擅长在方寸之间经营景深。圆形洞门与漏窗截取景致的片段，使目光有所停留，是为框景；墙外的山影树色被纳入园中，使围墙之内的景物延伸到墙外，是为借景。一木千林把这两种手法当作可以操作的空间方法，而非历史符号。外墙上的圆形洞口限定人们看到的第一眼；室内的两面弧形镜面把树木、天空与周边场地反复映入，景深由此远超展亭本身的尺度。弧形外墙如半展的屏风，亭体轻轻架离地面，外小而内大，暗合“芥子纳须弥”的古意。
The classical Chinese garden is known for creating depth within a small space. Moon gates and lattice windows capture fragments of the scenery and hold the eye, a technique known as framed views; hills and trees beyond the wall are drawn into the garden, extending the scene past its enclosure, a technique known as borrowed scenery. Infinite Grove treats these techniques as working spatial methods rather than historical references. The circular opening in the outer wall defines the first view, while the two curved mirrors inside reflect the tree, the sky and the surrounding site again and again, creating a depth far greater than the pavilion itself. The curved outer wall recalls a half-opened folding screen, and the pavilion is raised slightly above the ground. Small outside and vast within, it echoes the old idea that a mustard seed can hold a mountain.

从一瞥到置身林中
From a Glimpse to Immersion
展亭的体验分为三个段落。远看时，半透明的外墙隐约透出树影，墙上只开一个圆洞，洞中是树与镜像的一角。走上入口台阶、踏上格栅地面，两侧的镜面开始复制眼前的景象。站到中央，头顶是一棵真实的树，四周是向两端延展的树林，游人自己的倒影也出现在枝叶之间。镜面的弧度让映像随脚步伸展、收拢与交叠，移步换景，每一次停留看到的画面都不相同。
The experience unfolds in three moments. From a distance, the translucent outer wall reveals the faint silhouette of the tree, and a single round opening offers a glimpse of the tree and its reflections. As visitors climb the entrance steps onto the grated floor, the mirrors on both sides begin to multiply the view. At the centre, a real tree stands overhead and a grove extends in both directions, with the visitors’ own reflections appearing among the branches. The curvature of the mirrors makes the images stretch, contract and overlap with each step, so the scene changes every time visitors pause.

材料与光
Materials and Light
展亭由三种主要材料构成。弧形镜面不锈钢形成内壁，负责映射；外侧的聚碳酸酯板将日光过滤成柔和的漫射光，白天如一层薄雾，夜里灯光由内透出，展亭便成了草坪上的一盏灯；钢框架将两者连为一体，承担整体结构。
The pavilion is built from three main materials. Curved mirror-polished stainless steel forms the reflective interior walls. Polycarbonate panels on the outer face filter daylight into a soft, diffused glow that feels like mist during the day, while at night light from within turns the pavilion into a lantern on the lawn. A steel frame ties the two together and carries the whole structure.

预制与移动
Prefabrication and Mobility
一木千林从设计之初就考虑巡展。亭体在工厂整体预制，出厂时即为一个完整单元，无需基础，一辆卡车即可运输，到场后只需少量安装工作。树木种在地板中央的树池中，可以整株更换而不改动亭体，因此同一座展亭能够在城市的不同场地之间反复安放。
Infinite Grove was designed from the outset to travel. The pavilion is prefabricated in the factory and leaves the workshop as a complete unit. It needs no foundations, travels on a single truck and requires only minimal work on site. The tree is planted in a planter at the centre of the floor and can be replaced without altering the pavilion, allowing the same structure to be installed again and again at different sites in the city.

随季节更换的树
A Tree That Changes with the Seasons
首站在晚春，中心是一株盛开的杜鹃，镜中映出一片花林；夏天移至上海插画小镇的第二站，换成一棵橄榄树，银绿的细叶与虬曲的枝干映出另一种林相。亭体保持不变，树形、叶色与花期的变化让每一站都成为一座不同的园林。
At the first site, in late spring, a flowering azalea stood at the centre and the mirrors reflected a grove in bloom. At the second site, Chahua Town in Shanghai, the pavilion received an olive tree for the summer, whose silvery-green leaves and twisting branches produced a different kind of forest. The pavilion stays the same, while changes in form, leaf colour and flowering cycle turn each site into a different garden.

结语
Conclusion
一木千林让花园成为城市中可以反复发生的短暂停留。一棵树、一处小尺度的围合与游人的移动，共同形成一个视觉尺度远超实际占地的景观。走进去的人看见一片林，离开时，或许会重新看待身边的一棵树。
Infinite Grove makes the garden a brief encounter that can recur across the city. A single tree, a small enclosure and the movement of visitors together create a landscape whose apparent scale far exceeds its physical footprint. Visitors walk in to find a forest, and may leave seeing the single tree beside them a little differently.
